The first step in any appraisal is to determine the specific purpose or your appraisal objective, as appraisals are legal documents and as such are not interchangeable. If you have several objectives, you may need several different types of appraisal reports. We can determine which appraisal you need in our initial phone consultation.
- Verbal Opinion: You may need to determine the value of works for selling or estate sales purposes. This is a consultation and not an appraisal and there is no written record. I do follow Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice guidelines when providing a verbal opinion consultation as well as for certified written appraisal reports. I am a member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and I am certified by USPAP.
- Certified Appraisal: For financial planning, insurance, banking, charitable contribution and investment purposes.
